Some faculty at the University of Utah are putting a proposal together
for an EPA grant to finance two linked teaching workshops in
environmental economics.

One workshop discusses the advantages and disadvantages of cap and
trade versus carbon taxes, and the other the issue of RPS versus feed-in
tariffs.

The RFIP allows for these workshops to be run by several institutions
in up to 5 years. If you wanted to link up with us and have a
repetition of these workshops at your institution, please contact me.
The deadline for this grant is coming up very quickly, it is March 24,
therefore if you are interested you would have to contact us
immediately.

Also if you can be one of the presenters in the workshops, please
contact me too. I think it will help our application if we
have confirmed speakers.

A copy of the narrative of the proposal is at the temporary URL

We tried to put in some interesting literature references, most with
clickable links. Any suggestions to improve it are also welcome. The
environment is a serious matter and we all should work together to
facilitate the right policies.
