In the past week or so, I have received several emails asking for
donations for the Chinese earthquake relief effort. I am very puzzled
by this: doesn't the Chinese government have roughly a $1.5T cash-pile
that they don't know what to do with? Why do they need $100.00
donations from individuals? And how come there are no emails about
cyclone relief in Burma?
