A few threads ago, Doyle Saylor contended that "fidelity" should be a
distant second to other aspects of media content. In particular, he
suggested that Doug would agree with that notion. I can now report
that Doyle seems to have been right indeed. In his preface to a poor
recording (due to no fault of Doug's) of an interview with Patrick
Cockburn, Doug makes this very point.
Great interview, btw -- and excellent intro with the historical
comparison of Sweden and Japan w.r.t response to bubbles such as our
own mortgage crisis: I think you (Doug) should write it up and post it
on the Internet. I have the podcast paused at Bogle... is he also the
vintner of the horrible swill that is bottled under that moniker?
