Mentioned in the article is the economics blog "The Big Picture" which
I have occasionally perused, and which now carries a cartoon depicting
various entities (rendered as individuals) lining up for a taxpayer
hand-out, including Freddie, Fannie, Bear Sterns, Auto companies,
and... New Orleans. To avoid ambiguity, the New Orleans character is a
few shades darker of skin than the rest. But clearly this was not
enough for one of the commentors:
your New Orleans dud, needs to have a wider nose and thicker head!
If they are going to take the credit on the up-side, lets not let
them be niggerly on the down-side! I use to live there and the fact
is that they (we do know who they are, right? Ok, those that have a
propensity not to be able to fit into an average chair.), people
collectively need to be culpable...

Someone needs to tell these people that Dinesh D'Souza has pronounced
that racism is dead. They are ruining his thesis... but perhaps his
brown nose is not wide enough for them!

[apologies for the post flood -- I was hoping the previous links would
all have been of interest and I couldn't resist this comment!]
