Does anybody know the proportion of stocks and bonds that are held indirectly 
by 
intermediaries?  I assume that most hedge fund hold wealth for the rich, 
although 
pension plans are also players.  Has anyone ever sorted this out.

By the way, I think that we can forgo much more about the definition of banks.
