None of this is an endorsement of Volcker's positions! Sometimes, when your opponent gives you the phrases you need, it is wise to use them. As the right is doing right now, making hay with Obama's statement that "you have to spread the wealth around", though they know quite well that he is no socialist and is merely echoing sentiments expressed by McCain elsewhere (see Oct 16, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart).
