Doyle;
It would be nice to better understand what is being talked about. Wolf's warning about catastrophe doesn't really tell us much. He says it is likely globalized. And it will get worse.

From a left perspective that is no different than Henry C. K. Liu's writings over the last few years in Asia Times. Except Wolf is saying reform is urgent. That is already the consensus on the national stage anyway. That sets the stage for identifying reforms from a left perspective and saying what needs to be done. In other words, if things are bad what does the left see doing to make life better?

Catastrophe will happen over time. So as things get worse we ought to say what is happening and what to do so that a movement can be started building.

I think too it would good to say when catastrophe hits and why. Because at that point just defining a moment is powerful.

To summarize, the left ought to define reforms especially what the Democrats can't do but everyone knows is needed. And the left needs to define catastrophe so people know when to act.
Thanks,
