In case people don't read it until the end: > Finally, I [Fidel] said [in a letter to Lula]: > "If my estimates were wrong and racism > prevailed: if the Republican candidate > won the Presidency, the danger of a war > would increase and the peoples' > opportunities to progress would be > reduced.
With Obama, the danger of war and the peoples' opportunities to progress increase. Then, Fidel closes: > Nevertheless, we need to fight and to > build awareness about this, whoever it is > who wins this election." When he's right, he's right. Note that Fidel doesn't say the possibilities of progress depend entirely on mass movements that emerge randomly out of nowhere. We need to fight and build awareness, regardless of what happens. _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
