End of neoliberalism? Sorry, not yet.
Dec 24, 2 By Patrick Bond Those who declare that the Great Crash of Late 2008 heralds the end of free market economic philosophy - "neoliberalism" for short - are not paying close enough attention. ^^^ CB: Well, of course the bourgeoisie's economic agents will continue to philosophize/fantasize free market, but it's obvious to everybody that they don't have any clothes on ,because the $ 8 trillion handed over to the big Wall Street banks, and the auto bailout pretty much proves beyond a doubt to anyone who understands the basic concepts that it is not a free market system, but a monopoly system. "Too big to fail" means "not a free market system". The jig is pretty much on that. ^^^^^ o a new threat arises, in the form of relegitimised neoliberalism and imperialism, via the election of Barack Obama as US president. ^^^ CB: How's he supposed to "legitimize" such a mess ? Even O can't put lipstick on this pig.
