Yeah, but he's probably got it right.

I don't get the political strategy of compromising even before you start a fight. The Republicans *lost*, and decisively. Yet Obama courts them from the first. George W squeaks into office and declares he's got political capital to spend and does. The Dems make no sense in the most narrow partisan sense.
