Call for Papers URPE Summer Conference August 15 ? 18, 2009
Greetings!
Papers and workshops proposals are being accepted for the URPE 2009
Annual Summer Conference held August 15 - 18, 2009. The theme of this
year?s conference is ?Economic Crises: Opportunities for Radical
Change.? Now is the time for Heterodox Economists of all persuasions to
find creative solutions and to do serious analysis and speak out about
the domestic and global economic recession and financial crisis! As
always we are looking for Political Economy papers from all disciplines
(including at least sociology, political science, urban studies, and
anthropology in addition to economics). The conference always has a mix
of relatively more technical presentations of Political Economy research
from scholars and graduate students in all stages of development with
more popular and activist oriented presentations. Political Economy
papers that address the current economic crises are encouraged,
especially those that say something about how the current crisis
provides opportunities for radical change. More general political
economy submissions are of course as every year warmly welcomed as well !!
Please consider forming a workshop with 2 to 4 papers on a common theme
that your and colleagues might be working on. Or just submit a paper.
Please send all submissions to: [email protected]
<mailto:[email protected]>. Workshops and papers will be accepted
until all space is filled? while last minute submissions are welcome
they might not be accepted if there is no space , so please get your
submission in early.
