Jurriaan Bendien sent me this piece of good news: The New Zealand Council of Trade Unions (CTU) has appointed Bill Rosenberg as economist and policy director. Dr Rosenberg replaces Peter Conway, the CTU's economist for the past nine years, who was appointed the organisation's secretary earlier this year. Dr Rosenberg, who will start at the CTU on May 11, is deputy director of Canterbury University's centre for teaching and learning, a member of the Institute of Directors and a commissioner on the Tertiary Education Commission.
