Greetings Economists,
I take color revolutions as mass movements. And political
manipulations. Mousavi was a reluctant candidate who rode a tide of
discontent. Whose discontent? The discontent sounds like western
attracted segments of population. The democratic element, the
question of the election they raise as it being stolen seems to me
hard to swallow because of what I have read about the election. I
have no great attraction to religious governments. I'd see them out
the door. The discontent is not what I would say is a polarized class
conflict.
I don't think you make revolutions with such movements.
