I should add that I don't necessarily agree with marxist.com.
Fundamentally, I believe that the American economy will look a lot like
the post-Thatcher period in Britain, with ever-increasing
financialization and erosion of manufacturing jobs. It will be like a
low-level flu but not "Grapes of Wrath".
