No, I think the point here is much simpler. Ron Paul does not even
acknowledge the extent to which his own life is enriched by government
subsidies. This is not out of dishonesty in Paul's case, but rather
sheer ignorance. (In a recent interview he made a claim - astonishing
for a medical doctor - that the government should reduce its
regulation of medical testing laboratories. Does he realize what a
free market in the medical area would do to doctors' incomes?)

Strong beliefs combined with ignorance is a dangerous thing indeed!
