Redwoods activist Judi Bari, who had (possibly) been bombed in an FBI Cointelpro action also had a program on Pacifica. She referred to his "We the People" program as "Me the People". Brown claimed to be a friend of Bari's but when he became Mayor of Oakland he did nothing to correct the record of the bombing, which effectively ended the Forests Forever initiative drive in California. Bari and Darryl Cherney sued the FBI and the City of Oakland and won. The press never adequately reported the victory nor did the FBI adequately investigate the bombing. (They're not too good at controlled demolitions.)
