maybe, but it sure sounded like a (poorly conceived) effort to simply
counter the GOP political blitzkrieg of Limbaugh, Fox News, _et al_,
which also avoided campaign-finance laws.

that's my impression, too. It was mostly an anti-Dubya outlet.
