The Olins, DeVos's, Scaifes etc. have been donating millions of dollars a year to these anti-public school, pro-charter efforts. The Waltons give about ten million a year to just one charter school booster organization - Children's Educational Opportunity Foundation America - not to mention the millions they give to other charter organizations and efforts every year. They have really opened the money floodgates, as have many of the USA's rentiers. So much so, I am surprised how little this effort they are engaged in is talked about outside of educational circles.
