When the BP burped its greed, I rushed to judgement -- I figured a massive oil spill, one that cranks out an Exxon Valdez every two days, would make a hell of a film on the Gulf that would persist and that a hurricane could come and sweep it up and disperse it all along the East Coast of the United States (inundating the White House and Capitol Hill if the Fates were with the People); a summer lightning storm could ignite it and set the whole coast afire. Now it seems there's a huge gas bubble forming on the seabed and that one of these days it's going to rise, perhaps explode, perhaps set off a tsunami. Guesses, news and evidence are getting more and more surreal.
