That doesn't seem right. How exactly does he measure "Wall St business"?
I have heard estimates that finance (including insurance and real-estate not just "Wall St") accounted for >40% of all corporate profits at its peak, but I assume that this has corrected somewhat in the last 2 years. -raghu. ^^^^^ CB: I was thinking that is a little too good to be true ( for Lenin's theory of finance capital concentration); but I'm pretty sure he said it, and he's a Senator of the bourgeoisie from corporation registration friendly state of Delaware. We could write to him and ask how he got the figure, if I heard it write. There was a second statistic he quoted, but I can't read my notes ( written in a crayon I grabbed). At any rate , on analogy to ownership of control of corporate stock 30 or 40% might be enough exercise some kind of significant control. _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
