The US electorate is represented by Nell, from the Dudley Do-Right cartoons. The greedy Republican (represented by Snidely Whiplash) will tie her to the railroad track and abuse her in many ways while the incompetent Democrat (represented by Dudley Do-Right) promises to save her but she has to do all the work and thinking. (Meanwhile, she's secretly in love with Dudley's horse.)
