so a better name would be Volckerism, after the Carter appointee. In the US, the neoliberal policy revolution started in August of 1979, with Volcker's resistible rise to run the Federal Reserve. Face it, neoliberalism is a bipartisan movement. That of course does not say that it's a conspiracy of some sort or that all neoliberals believe in exactly the same thing.
