 Professor Anthony D'Costa:

Thank you for your pleasant invitation. I would love to attend your
conference in Copenhagen, but I must pass. I am 77-years-old with severe
rheumatoid arthritis -- I am confined to a wheelchair when I go out -- and
my days of flying around the world are over. I trust that you will
understand. My work these days is confined to my writing. My most recent
essays are:

You might find them of interest.

                                                        With best regards,

                                                        Chalmers Johnson
