I received the following note from a friend in Athens, who I saw last month:
Anyway, the situation in Greece is characterized by an exacerbation of police violence against demonstrators and left citizens. Ten days ago Dimosthenis Papadatos, the young man with the beard who attained all our meetings at the Institute and was also present at the dinner in our house, was caught by anti-terror policemen covering their faces in hoods when returning home, carried to the central police departments, beaten, stripped bare naked, slagged, and after four hours set free, with the excuse that it was a "mistake" and they (the anti-terror police) "confused him with someone else". See also the international petition against police violence in Greece.

I hope you will consider signing this.
