The author of the piece that I quoted from is a financier who appears to be an Ayn Rand-type nut. He really is a piece of work. Check out his collected works here: http://palisadeshudson.com/current-commentary/ Outside of these extreme nut-cases, it is in general not very common to hear this sort of thing admitted openly. After all the author is admitting that there is such a thing as class conflict, which the saner elements of the capitalist class would consider an extremely tactless thing to admit. Usually we get some sanctimonious bullshit like business-owners are "job creators" who deserve our gratitude and appreciation - and of course subsidies and tax-breaks to continue doing "God's work". -raghu. _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
