Somehow I am not impressed. People are all for solidarity as long as
it only requires empty words and meaningless gestures like ordering a
slice of pizza. Wake me up when someone is actually willing to make a
real sacrifice for their brothers and sisters.

Members of a Wisconsin police union stand divided over one group's
support of Gov. Scott Walker's union bill.

The majority of professional police unions around the state endorsed
Democratic candidate Tom Barrett instead of Walker in last year's
governor's race, including the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Association.
But one particular endorsement for Walker -- like the recent protests
at the state Capitol in recent days -- is making a lot of noise.

Tracy Fuller, president of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Association
-- the union that represents state troopers, is now facing even
tougher ones from his members.

"Let's not finger point and tear at each other as a union," he said.

But that's happening because while state troopers won't lose their
collective bargaining rights if Walker's union bill passes, some
members of two other agencies WLEA represents -- the Capitol police
and University of Wisconsin police -- will. Fuller is encouraging a
spirit of unity despite some acrimony.
