it's also good to remind people that a  Western military intervention
in Libya -- with or without UN Security Council authorization -- would
be exploited by the most powerful elements of the "West," e.g., the
U.S. and major oil companies, in order to promote their interests. For
example, the oil companies would likely push to get better terms (for
them) in Libyan oil extraction.
