What a joke. Qaddafi's heavy artillery was not purchased from a Salvation Army thrift shop but from the imperialists themselves. Monthly Review writes about this as if Qaddafi's troops were the Red Army fending off the Wehrmacht. The rebels have about as much military training as I do. Plus, machine guns are not very effective against tanks. With this mismatch, the end result is inevitable. What's even more stupid is explaining the defeat of the rebels in battle as linked to their lack of revolutionary zeal or something.
