There so much tendentious anti-Obama > discussion. this response suggests a "law" of US politics: the tendency for political & ethical standards to fall (partly as a result of "lesser than two evil" thinking). The current NLRB is praised for actually enforcing the law once and awhile. By today's standards, Nixon is a saint and Eisenhower walked on the water, turned water into wine, and resurrected the dead. If we could measure such things, both might look more "left wing" than Obama. By the way, I must be last pen-pal to see "Inside Job." Good film. (The stuff with Elliott Spitzer was fun.) It should be seen with David Harvey's and Rick Wolf's little films. -- Jim Devine / bumper sticker seen recently: "Cthulhu/Voldemort 2012 / Why vote for the LESSER of two evils?" _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
