this response suggests a "law" of US politics: the tendency for
political & ethical standards to fall (partly as a result of "lesser
than two evil" thinking). The current NLRB is praised for actually
enforcing the law once and awhile. By today's standards, Nixon is a
saint and Eisenhower walked on the water, turned water into wine, and
resurrected the dead. If we could measure such things, both might look
more "left wing" than Obama.

By the way, I must be last pen-pal to see "Inside Job." Good film.
(The stuff with Elliott Spitzer was fun.) It should be seen with David
Harvey's and Rick Wolf's little films.
