IMF Chief Allegedly Sexually Assaulted A Journalist In 2002 http://www.businessinsider.com/dominique-strauss-kahn-attempted-rape-allegations-2011-5
This is pretty damning, not only of DSK, but also of the selection process for the IMF head, because 1) serious allegations concerning DSK predate his selection as IMF head and 2) apparently they were widely known at the time, at least in France, so there seems to be an absence of "due diligence" here... <When DSK was nominated for the IMF, French journalist Jean Quatremer wrote a widely-quoted blog post noting DSK's qualifications for the job (economics professor, highly regarded finance minister of France) but warning that his taste for women might be his undoing: "He is too pressing, often on the edge of harassment. This quirk is well known in the media, but no one will talk about it (this is France). But the IMF is an international institution with Anglo-Saxon mores. One inappropriate gesture, one all-too specific innuendo, and it's a media firestorm."> -- Robert Naiman Policy Director Just Foreign Policy www.justforeignpolicy.org [email protected] _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
