I never read David's posts, but the first line of this reminded me of a piece of good luck here in Bloomington/Normal Illinois. One of the founders of the local anti-war group, Bloomington/Normal Citizens for Peace and Justice, a really vigorous and dedicated person, was unfortunately glued at the hip to the DP, and after Obama's election dropped out of active participation. But I just learned that he had visited Palestine this summer -- and it has radicalized him. He is returning to active participation. The rescue of a good leader from the grips of the DP is indeed an occasion for celebration.
