That's the title of a new book by Guy Standing. Looking forward to reading it. No hard data here, but one cannot avoid the conclusion after reading Steven Greenhouse's The Big Squeeze that more and more workers suffer in real terms at will employment, shorter or no notice before termination, radically reduced or no severance packages, and radically reduced benefits; moreover, the bouts of unemployment have become noticeably longer if I remember Richard Freeman correctly.
