Recently, I've seen negative product placement in two films: "Crazy
Stupid Love" and "Friends with Benefits." The first puts the Gap
clothing store down twice -- saying that only losers shop there. If
this is a real cultural phenomenon, what does it mean? (Can the Gap
sue? or did they pay for it, thinking that there's no such thing as
bad publicity?)
