Liras would be just fine. I would still hang on the US dollar for the foreseeable future. Also on the long-term US Treasuries. This have where my US retirement funds been since August 1999 and I have done quite handsomely. Hang on my friends and vote for Kucinich, if he runs for president. Given that it is a "battle" between Democrats and Republicans, he is your best bet as far as I can see.
