*  On page 2 of today's New York TIMES, Chanel advertises a "Pearl
embroidered pump" for only $1,450. It's unclear whether the other shoe
costs the same or there's some sort of two-for-one deal here.

*  Below that, Gucci is selling a watch. The slogan is "Timeless."
Nonetheless, it seems to have hands, though it's possible that they
were painted on. Right above that, Cartier is selling its watch, with
prices "starting at $7,100." The Gucci watch doesn't have a price.

I guess I'm going to have to have some of that beer from Fargo, North
Dakota, called "Woodchipper."
