Both are excellent technicians, but I wonder how much either has
contributed to the understanding of the world.  I admit that Sargent's
history book is an exception.  His macro book was interesting --
explaining everything by Fourier transformations, but I never got any
economic insights from it.

I appreciate Julio's synopsis of their work, but again, I wonder what
their statistical analysis teaches us.
