Today's NY TIMES uses the phrase the use of "ethics as a weapon" to
refer to Newt Gingrich's tactics (e.g., to attack Jim Wright, the
House Speaker, as corrupt so that Gingrich's own version of corruption
could rise to the top). I guess almost anything can be weaponized.
After all, the US uses "human rights" as a weapon (against, for
example, Milosevic's Serbia while leaving the contemporary Croatia
alone).
