they both learned a lot from Ricardo. To my mind, George was a left
Ricardian (though very different from the neo-Ricardians (Sraffians)
who used to have a presence in the economics profession). Marx wasn't
a Ricardian at all, on the other had, since his emphasis was the
critique of Ricardo (and other political economists of the era).
