There is amagnificent Historical Materialism symposium on Lih's book, and for those who don't want to read Lih's long text, his response to critics in that symposium offers a quite wonderful précis of his overall argument. As to the 'practical' implications of Lih's work, it is quite simple: we have to think for ourselves. There is no recipe for revolution.
