It is a characteristic of America ( and other places) , a caste system in which people of the white race on average are advantaged in life expectancy, less disease, more wealth and income, property, inheritance, educational attainment, health care, public services, employment, residential quality of life, rank, power, status, _on average_, than non-white races. This advantage is in part due to the legacy of this same advantage historically more harshly in slavery/Indian genocide, Jim Crow, et al. ; in other words, the living generation of white people derive some of their white supremacist advantage from perfectly legitimate family inheritance over many generations.
