Dear Jim, I am not offering an all inclusive theory. Life cannot be reduced to finance and economics only, right? At times when you need scapegoats, as long as you are willing, you can find as many as you like! What was that thing that gets quoted usually, although the order in it changes depending on who is quoting it. Could it be what is below? "First they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me."
