I've seen all of Deadwood. It's fine. For me, it tied Sopranos, but certainly not The Wire.
Mad Men is OK. It has managed to completely ignore the counterculture aspect of the 60's, which amounted to a hell of a lot more than dropping acid. For something to be better than The Wire it has to a) be more than soap opera and b) include history in a real rather than anecdotal way.
