1. Blanche's doctor is hounding her to get a bone density test -- I assume that he gets a cut of the test $$. If they find a problem, they will prescribe medicine that give protection for a while and then causes problems. Her previous beloved doctor died, the next one moved on, and then this one -- all in a short time. She is worried that he might not give her other meds if she does not cave.
2. I saw an article in the Wall Street Journal, I believe, in the last week, which I cannot locate. The title was about the conflict between bankers & insolvent cities. Does anyone recall the article? Maybe it was in the NY Times.
