To which it remains only to add that neither morality or politics is in any way a relevant category for talking about this movie. It's a *comedy* in every sense of the word, though its humor can get rather grisly, in a schematic, distanced, comic-book sort of way. The scene where Django shoots the plantation owner's ditzy sister is in fact a sight gag, and quite a funny one -- like Toto dropping out of the frame in Palm Beach Story. -- -- Michael J.
