I wish I were that detached. I *do* kinda hate 'em, actually -- though some of my best friends are Democrats, which complicates things. I hate their Pharisaical smugness and condescension. I hate their conventional wisdom assuring itself that I'm an idiot for not sharing it. I hate their conviction that they're the realists and I'm the idle dreamer, when the reality is just the opposite.
