there's a pecking order among economists, with the "major" ones at the top. They're the ones with the most prestige. But what's interesting is which "major" ones Lakoff chooses: Krugman, Stiglitz, R. Reich. No Mankiw? and Reich isn't officially an economist, is he? (not that I care). Lakoff chose to label economists whose opinions he likes as "major." if a "modern major general" does the following, what does a modern major economist do?
