Below are comments from Obama Campaign volunteers reacting to this proposal: Veronica Kirk, Michigan: "If President Obama goes back on his word to endorse cuts to Social Security, I will no longer support him as our president. And I will feel abandoned and betrayed! It will affect my activism on other issues as well." Myra Spencer-Easton, Virginia: "I volunteered endlessly for both campaigns and I expect him to fight for me like he promised." Ouida Hewett, North Carolina: "Do not cut Social Security. We seniors can't make ends meet now." Michael McDaniel, Florida: "This would be extremely regressive!
