That is totally untrue. The Espionage Act was written to criminalize dissent. Eugene V. Debs and many other socialist and anarchist opponents of Wilson's imperial war were sent to jail and imprisoned under it until a decent human being (a Republican, by the way) became president and released them. What Obama is doing conforms to the letter and is entirely in the spirit of Wilson's Espionage Act. It befits a party whose heroes are Woodrow Wilson and Andrew Jackson.
