Hi all, New Left Project has organised a new series<http://www.newleftproject.org/index.php/site/blog_comments/new_series_global_capitalism_and_the_state> examining the role of the state in creating and sustaining global capitalism, based on Leo Panitch and Sam Gindin's book *The Making of Global Capitalism*.
Panitch and Gindin kicked the series off today with a summary of their argument: http://www.newleftproject.org/index.php/site/article_comments/the_state_and_the_making_of_global_capitalism Commentary and critique from the likes of Göran Therborn and Bob Jessop will be published over the coming week, with a concluding response from Panitch and Gindin.
