At the same time, high quality instructional videos would open up the world
to ideas that many people would not have the opportunity to experience.

Of course. I have no idea how this contract bullshit got started. Big
education system like the State College and University of California already
have the equipment and facilities to do their own damn videos. I am pretty
sure some prof already have their lectures recorded and put them up for
class use.

I've taken a couple courses like David Harvey's Capital part 1 and most of
2. Where was that done Baltimore or NYC? It's up and available for free
anytime.

I also started a course by Leonard Susskind in Physic (general relativity)
and got through about a quarter part of the course---before I OD'ed.

These were near professional grade with real students in the room and they
were great.

In addition I've listened to dozens of single topic lectures, which I've
occasionally noted on list.

So what's with Mooche and Coursera? Coming from a system level
administration that is just bullshit. They control millions in faculty,
facilities, and media equipment. So I put it down to bad management of
existing infrastructure. Higher Education facilities are afterall factory
complexes who produce education and education material. So what the fuck is
the matter here?
